Laundry Room TLC

Last night something peculiar happened. I was just getting cozy on the sofa after putting the baby girl down when it happened. A little voice in my head said, "Why don't you pull out the washer and dryer and give the laundry room a good cleaning?" Going against my better judgement, I decided to do it. After all, this little voice doesn't speak to me very often. So, I got all of my stuff together. I used my boot camp muscle to move the washer and dryer--all by myself thank you. What I found then was not good. I won't get too graphic but lets just say Frankie wasn't the only animal living in the laundry room this winter... I proceeded to clean up what will likely prove to be the most disgusting thing I ever encounter in my life. Once that was taken care of, it started to get fun! Do you want to see?

I turned this:

And this:

became this:

This:

now looks like this:

I have always wondered what it would take...

to make me want to spend more time...

in the laundry room...

Even this is not enough.

But it looks cute, right?

  1. Cute stuff! Wish I had an indoor laundry room - ours is in the garage. Though, I bet there's some way that I could "pretty up" that part of the garage, huh? I probably never will, though. Great job!!! :)

  3. Snif, I don't know if I'll ever see such beauty in my laundry room. Wish I could wave the wand over the 8 loads that need to be folded that are taking up waaaaay too much room in the LR of our home. I love the yellow!!!!!!

  7. Super cute! I'm right there with you. Not much can make you want to stay in the laundry room any longer than you have to! I've tried painting, rugs, wall art...all to no avail. It's just not a pleasant place no matter how cute you make it. Great job!
