The Mission Clothes Closet

Wanted to share some pictures I took this morning on site of one of the many exciting new projects God is allowing to take place through The Mission. This is going to be an out-of-the-ordinary clothing distibution center for our community. The Gunter ISD has generously allowed us to basically take over part of an old school building to use for this as well as for our food pantry. We are so grateful and stand in awe of His provision for this ministry.

Right now, the clothing distribution site is receiving a slight make-over. Today we were painting, rods were being hung on the wall, and people were bringing in their clothes. All clothes must be in good shape, clean, pressed or dry cleaned, and on hangers (preferably from the last decade) in order to be accepted. This is the out-of-the-ordinary part. Some people are even bringing in brand new clothes! We'll take those, too. 2 Corinthians, Chapter 8 on giving generously and sacrificially.

I will post the "after" pictures when the clothes closet has opened up shop. In the mean time, please pray for Miss Wendy who the Lord is using in a mighty way to pull this all together.

Exciting times!

  2. I love the arm of the Lord. In every city, He has arms here, and there, and everywhere. I pray for great joy in the journey as you all are the arms AND heart of the Lord in meeting the multi-faceted needs of your community...the field where God has said "dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness." I see you all doing that and that is so wonderful. It IS making a difference for eternity.
