My Kind of Party!

One of the blogs that I frequently visit is called The Inspired Room. I love it! The other day, my affection grew deeper as I read about the Project Procrastinators Party. Guests can post links to before and after photos of the projects they have been putting off. Accountability is the name...gettin' something done is the game! I immediately decided to invite myself to the party. Of course I had way too many projects to pick from, but here's what I decided to go with:

This double drop-leaf table is very special. My grandparents bought it for me at a flea market right before I got married. I had no intentions of leaving the table in it's current state of BLAH but you know how it is--days led to weeks...weeks led to months... and here we are almost 8 years later with the same orangy-brown wooden table. It is crying out for a big, thick coat of paint! (Ooops--I meant to say several thin ones.) I have grandiose plans for this sweet little table. Can't wait to share the re-do with you! If I make it, that is. May 14th is quickly approaching! And after all, I am a procrastinator. We shall see...

Fellow procrastinators, join me:

  1. Oh, girl, I have one very similar to that and it was something I considered for this event too (it has been in my possession for 22 years and should have been painted about 15 years ago. I had forgotten to post a photo of it when I was thinking through my options last week!

Glad you picked that one, it will make SUCH a difference!

Can't wait to see the end result! You can do it!

    Blessings,
