Pretty Baby; Pretty Cake

Stop! What you are doing and say a prayer for this girl! She has been just miserable for nearly a week now. One illness turned into another and we just can't seem to get rid of it. We really need our giggling Glory back, so please remember her in your prayers.

I made this cake last week. It is a cake mix but I substituted half of the water with sour cream. It is an easy way to get a super moist cake. The cream cheese icing is simple and amazing!

Cream Cheese Icing

1 stick butter
1 pkg cream cheese
1 bag powdered sugar

Combine all ingredients with mixer until smooth. Frost and enjoy!

  1. I pray for baby and Mom and family. It's tough when the joy is way too quiet! Blessings you guys.

  2. I'm so sorry she is feeling yucky! That just puts a damper on everything doesn't it.

Keep us posted on how she is doing!

  3. Keelie, I was just about to let you know that I was worried about you, knew there was some reason you were too busy to blog, since you last blogged about the unsettled heart.
    I am praying for Glory.
She is a beautiful baby (won't be a baby for long) and that is a beautiful cake!
I know you are so glad that you will be staying home this year!!

  4. Thank you all.
Sandy--thanks for worrying about me. My unsettled heart the night I typed that was not too terribly bad. Just a little stress. BUT--I try to make it my prayer, quite often, that God would help me put into practice all the things I always write about where He is the next day He did. Had quite a scare with Glory and some alarming ailments(kind of to gross to type here). I spent a few days literally living on a prayer. She has since recovered from that (turned out to be nothing more than a virus) and moved on to less scarry but more miserable symptoms. My point is that the heart was way more unsettled just a few hours after I posted that--and I tried my best to rest in Him. It is WAY hard to completely entrust our children to Him! and yet that is the only way to survive parenthood, I am learning..
